This innovative generation of windows is based on a heroal-developed profile compound consisting of aluminium half-shells, polyamide thermal breaks and a completely foam-filled insulation zone. The heroal W 72 i system’s narrow face widths open up a wealth of design possibilities. The insert frame profile can be integrated into the C 50 facade system . heroal W 72 i offers maximum transparency, thermal insulation and elegant design without visible casements and glazing beads. In combination with concealed system fittings, this produces an elegant design.
Thanks to its unique, innovative bar geometry, heroal W 72 achieves Uw values that meet the German energy conservation requirements EnEV 2009 for thermal insulation for windows, as well as the more stringent requirements of EnEV 2012, for an insulation depth of 72 mm in the frame and 84 mm in the casement without the use of insulation in the frame and glazing rebate.
The system combines the highest quality with minimum energy and material consumption during manufacture, producing maximum energy and cost efficiency throughout the lifetime of the product. In the case of the particularly resource-saving variation for property solutions, the bars are made entirely from renewable resources. CFC-free insulating foam in the modular insulation zone areas help protect the ozone layer.
For this approach, which is consistently geared to sustainability, the heroal W 72 system – which also includes the heroal W 72 i window system – was awarded the Innovation Prize for Architecture 2012. The innovative insulating bar, with which the system achieves insulation values that would otherwise only be possible with additional insulation material, received particular praise.
