Sustainability
The 100% filling of the insulation chamber with mineral foam ensures the best results in the fire. The insulation can be flexibly adapted to customer requirements. The basic profiles not only fulfil the current requirements according to the German Building Energy Act (GEG), but also provide for further adaptations and extensions for future higher requirements. Due to their high weather resistance, natural corrosion protection and high material stability, aluminium products are durable and also particularly sustainable thanks to the high proportion of recycled aluminium.
Fabrication
The supply within a certified standard manufacturing network, the clamp-on fitting variant, the 5-chamber profile system with separate cooling and functional groove as well as the omission of special fire protection components (for the EI 30 classification) provide for a particularly efficient and direct fabrication without the need for preparations on the profile system. The multifunctional punch enables short fabrication times and a process-reliable manufacture. The fire protection profiles can thus be processed easily and fast even without a machining centre. Special tools are not required.
Fire protection glass
The fire protection door system heroal FireXtech D 93 FP can be combined with glass from different manufacturers. The large number of tested glasses for different sizes and requirements provides for the greatest possible flexibility in the selection of a suitable glazing.
Design
The highly weather-resistant heroal hwr powder coating ensures particularly high-quality surfaces and a colour-fast building shell while offering the greatest variety of colours and designs. In addition to over 500 RAL, DB and VEKA colours, the fire door system is also available in the exclusive Les Couleurs® Le Corbusier shades. The heroal SD surface finish provides impressive looks such as wood, rust and concrete. Metallic-reflective looks can be created with an anodised coating. Coating in two colours is also possible, as well as colour-coordinated aluminium barrel hinges. The fire protection doors can be seamlessly adapted to other heroal door systems, so that doors with and without fire protection requirements can be created in a consistent, appealing look. The uniform gap size of 7 mm ensures the elimination of constraint forces in accordance with DIN EN 179/1125, and provides for a particularly elegant design.
Comfort
heroal FireXtech D 93 FP achieves sound insulation class 3 and resistance class RC 2 for enhanced burglary resistance. For a barrier-free passage, the fire protection door system can be installed with a step-free threshold and optionally combined with the heroal DS drainage system. With the patented, seamlessly integrating drainage system heroal DS, which won the Architects' Darling® Jury Award 2019, solutions without threshold can be created, meeting legal requirements according to German standard DIN 18040-1 for public areas and DIN 18040-2 for barrier-free or fully accessible flats. The inside is reliably protected against moisture damages, as the system returns accumulating surface water at a capacity of up to 0.8 l/s without backflow, covered by a high-grade stainless steel grid. The stainless steel grid is available in various designs and stands out for its enhanced resistance against corrosion and acids.
