Innovative Extensions to heroal Roller Shutter Systems

Verl, July 2024. heroal roller shutter systems for flush-mounted, surface-mounted and top-mounted roller shutters offer a suitable solution for all installation situations and technical requirements. The product portfolio has now been extended to include innovative new features that enable heroal partners to meet a wide range of customer requirements and at the same time offer greater functionality, efficiency and design variety.

New platform for angled end strips

With the new platform for angled end strips for clockwise and counterclockwise roller applications in top-mounted or surface-mounted boxes, heroal supports the simple installation of heroal roller shutter systems. The new heroal angled end strips are currently available with an angle at the bottom to create a flat box closure. The mounting geometry of the end strips is designed in a way that the angled profile can be used for both base profiles for end strips (Mini and Maxi). To provide for an easy installation, the base and angled profiles are simply clipped together. The special design prevents the angled profile from moving sideways on the base profile when combining the two profiles.

Resistant to driving rain: heroal DRP guide rails

heroal DRP (Driving Rain Proof) is a new platform of guide rails that withstand driving rain and can be used for different building requirements thanks to three different variants. Tightness against driving rain is achieved by means of a Norseal^® sealing tape. heroal DRP guide rails are certified up to 600 Pa. They are installed on the frame of the window system. heroal DRP guide rails are compatible with the heroal panel caps of the box systems. In addition to the standard variant of the HTF-DRP guide rail, there are two further variants which can be used to create a distance of 20 mm to the window. They are suitable for spacing weather bars or drainage caps, and can be clipped onto the window frame profile using clip holders, or fixed to the profile with screws. They are also suitable for both the positive inlet and rear insulation of the roller shutter box as well as for the negative inlet and rear panels flush with the frame. Different guide entries are available for both applications. They can also be used in combination with insect screen frames or hinged doors from the heroal IS system.

heroal FMC panel box system offers combination panel box for particularly efficient applications

The new panel box system heroal FMC (front mounted combination) is a combination of roll-formed and extruded panels. It is available for box sizes 137 to 180 mm and can be combined with the heroal FME 20°, 45° and 90° box designs. heroal FME panels from the existing portfolio can also be used. The new combination box for the installation of surface-mounted systems in the reveal has been specially developed for applications with a visible extruded panel at the front and the demand for a more economical solution, compared to a fully extruded system. The roll-formed and extruded panels are connected via an adapter profile, which ensures that the front panel looks like the heroal FME panel system. As both panel and adapter profiles are coated in the same colour, a harmonious look can be created.

Sustainable drive for heroal roller shutter systems with integrated solar motor

Thanks to the option of integrating the Kaiser Nienhaus Easyline Solar solar motor, heroal roller shutter systems can be driven particularly energy-efficiently with a solar panel, without a separate power supply. The Kaiser Nienhaus Easyline Solar solar motor is available in 6 and 20 Nm versions. It can be controlled via hand-held and wall-mounted radio transmitters. If there is insufficient sunshine, the roller shutter can still be operated for up to 100 cycles. On request, a solar-based radio wind/sun sensor can be combined with the roller shutter system so that the roller shutter curtain can be raised or lowered automatically when the weather changes. The rechargeable battery integrated in the motor allows for an optional integration of the heroal IS insect screen system into the panel box.
