Shaped windows and doors, for the modernisation of old buildings or as special stylistic elements for new buildings, are elements of individual architecture. With our sophisticated machinery, we are able to carry out even very complex profile bending works: round, segmental and basket arches or circular elements (also referred to as bullseye windows), as well as custom-fit, easy-to-reproduce edgings and connectors to the building structure. All elements meet our high quality standard and are available in heroal’s wide variety of colours and surfaces you are used to.   • What does edging mean?

    Edging, or forming by bending according to German Industry Norm 8580, refers to the bending of sheet metal. Edged sheets are installed to clad angled or corner profiles of windows and doors, for example.

  • Can SD surfaces also be bent?

    Shaped windows and doors can also have a heroal SD surface. This way, arched doors and windows can also have wood, concrete and rust looks, while at the same time offering all advantages of aluminium.

  • Is there a limited colour range for bent aluminium profiles?

    There are no limits when it comes to available colours for shaped aluminium profiles. After bending, the profiles are hwr powder-coated in the colour of your choice, ranging from RAL and DB colours to the shades of Les Couleurs® Le Corbusier, or treated in an anodisation process, or refined with a heroal SD surface.

  • Which heroal products can be bent?

    In addition to windows and doors, we can also bend curtain wall elements. There is a wide range of shapes available for windows and doors. The profiles of heroal’s window and curtain wall systems can also be bent to convex and concave forms.
